Service Interruptions Due to Seasonal Sun Interference
February 28th, 2020
Please be advised, beginning in early March and and continuing through the middle of the month, disturbances to signal reception may occur when the sun passes directly behind a satellite. The intense energy of the sun overpowers the signal from the satellite. You may experience anything from slight signal degradation to complete signal loss. This usually lasts less than a few minutes, and occurs in the afternoon. Exact dates and times of these outages depend on your geographical location and satellite viewed. This is a natural phenomenon that affects both satellite and cable company reception. For more information, please contact our Customer Service Department at 496-5800.
